Rachel was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. She graduated the Hebrew University in Jerusalem with a degree in Nursing. Rachel moved to Northridge, California in 1981 following her husband. She worked as a Registered Nurse at local hospital for 15 years.
Rachel started pencil drawing and some painting in 1992 while her kids were attending art classses. This rapidly developed into fascination and obsession with drawing and painting so she started attending art classes, workshops and read many art books. Rachel's favorite subjects to paint are: the human figure especially dancers and musicians, horses, flowers and seascape. Rachel uses vibrant colors, bold brush strokes and her imagination to create the subject and the energy in her paitnings.
Rachel is an active member of the San Fernando Valley Art Club, and has presented her artwork in a number of the club group shows, as well as in many private galleries in the USA and abroad.
